Final Animation

December 14, 2007 by wmuham2

My concept was the daily commute of a martian from work to home. The scene starts from a factory that extracts the natural resources from a site. The camera then focuses on the ship as it ascends then travels to its home. I started by created a new terrain. I then modeled a spaceship from start. I added some existings models from Brad (the factory) and Jack (the train and geosphere). I added lights and the space dome. The animation is simple, I did explore a lot bells and whistles out of fear of not turning it in on time (30 points is a lot) I think it was successful.  I  will post the animation at a later date

Lets get ready to rumble. Its time for the home stretch. I considering a model like Joan’s and Narcisse showing transportation. I like the way it looks, but only if I have time.

I have revised my study model according to my review on Monday. I decided to lower the scale of most of the buildings. I think what I had was more of an urban scale opposed to the neighborhood scale of this area of Perkins. In addition, I would not want to be on the second floor near the noise pollution of the interstate. I added some irregularity to the square/plaza and created a better visual connection to and from Perkins. My sketches, in my opinion did not come so well, but they did inspire some thoughts about my design proposal.
